How do I do this and what is the answer? Select the coordinates of two points on the line y = -2. A) (2, -2) and (-2, 2) B) (-2, -2) and (-2, 0) C) (2, -2) and (0, -2) D) (-2, 2) and (-2, -2)

geerky42 (geerky42):

You have given line y = -2. So you just need any points \((x, -2)\), since y-coordinate is -2. \(x\) could be anything.

geerky42 (geerky42):

Which choice has both points with y-coordinate of -2?

what? im confused...

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

Did you get your answer @jut21

OpenStudy (taramgrant0543664):

What was meant is that your y value is -2 but it does not state where your x value is so your x can be what ever number you want essentially so your coordinate will be any number as x and -2 as y so your coordinate is (x,-2) your question requires you to pick two coordinates that have some number x and -2 as y. Does this make any sense?
