Aromaticity SOS-Can someone PLEASE help me out with it?

@Cuanchi @paki

OpenStudy (ciarán95):

What's your question @Hipocampus ?

OpenStudy (ciarán95):

@Hipocampus ..... what in particular is giving you trouble in relation to aromatic rings you posted?

OpenStudy (photon336):

There's a rule for aromaticity something like 2n+4 pi electrons as well as conjugation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

determine aromaticity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and determine which one is aromatic among the aforementioned compounds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's the problem! @photon there're so many exceptions

OpenStudy (photon336):

Has to be a conjugated system meaning that every other bond has a double bond.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to determine which compound is aromatic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like why B is aromatic and C is not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I'm not sure I'm following...if there's a + charge, I don't count e right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but why? because E doesn't have an odd amount of double bonds?

OpenStudy (photon336):

correction 4n+2 pi electrons
