can someone help me i know this not math What must be true for Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium to occur? A. No allele can give an advantage. B. The population must be small. C. Organisms must choose mates. D. Mutations must occur in each generation.

OpenStudy (aryavegapunk):

A. No allele can give an advantage. Next time you might want to ask this in the Biology section In order for Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium to be true, 5 criteria must be met: 1. No Mutations 2.Random Mating 3.No natural Selection 4. Extremely Large Population Size 5. No Gene Flow (no new genes)

OpenStudy (triciaal):

i don't know just looked this up for you. evolution will not occur in a population if seven conditions are met: 1. mutation is not occurring 2. natural selection is not occurring 3. the population is infinitely large 4. all members of the population breed 5. all mating is totally random 6. everyone produces the same number of offspring 7. there is no migration in or out of the population
