What value in place of the question mark makes the polynomial below a perfect square trinomial? x2 - 24x + ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find a square trinomial you need to divide the B value by two then square. Do you know what the B value is? @helpapex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay well the b value is a variable assigned to the middle term, or 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So to find the Perfect value you need to do (24/2)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

144

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup! Good job. In the future is you have similar problems just remember (middle value/2)^2
