Wouldn't it be $$\large \sf -0.50x + 0.50x + (0.40 * 0.50x) = 500$$ not $$\large \sf -0.50x + 0.50x + (0.40 * 0.50x) \leq 500$$ since they want 500 profit not 500 or less profit?
