Bob's gas tank is 3/10 full. After he buys 6 gallons of gas, it is 4/5 full. How many gallons can Bob's tank hold?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets change 4/5 to 8/10. When he gives his tank with 6 gallons, It goes from 3/10 full to 8/10 full. That means, If he puts ONLY 6 gallons in, It would be 5/10 full (8/10 - 3/10). Now divide 5/10 by 6. Then you will get the answer!
