need help please

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

parallel lines ALWAYS have the same slope example: y = 3x + 5 y = 3x + 9 these two lines have the same slope of 3. They have different y intercepts which mean they never ever cross each other.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

something like y = 2x+5 (slope is 2) and y = 7x + 12 (slope is 7) have different slopes so they will eventually cross at some point. The fact that they cross means they aren't parallel

thanks

no problem
