Meter in poetry is determined by which of these? A. the arrangement and repetition of beats or accents in each poetic line B. the repetition of consonants that appear at the beginning of words C. the use of words that sound like the sounds that they describe D. the pattern in which similar end-sounds occur in a poetic line
@wavypop
i can tell you this -- it isn't C, i'm sure you know that as "onomatopoeia." it's also not B, that's alliteration.
do you have a definition of meter anywhere in your notes? you will find that one of these choices corresponds with it best.
@mistermew sorry but i don't have any notes... i am currently at summer school doing an exam
Is it A?
i got A for it as well.
ok thanks
no problem.
@wavypop sorry but i think @mistermew beat you to me this time :P
yea. he's a helpful person
he helped me my first day up here
she, not he, but thank you for the sentiment! mister mew is my cat's name. ;)
i did not know that. sorry
it's fine! i see how that could be misleading
yea. and isnt mew a pokemon
yep! mew is pretty cool, i have a couple "ancient mew" pokemon cards and they're definitely one of my favorites. it's also another way to say "meow", which is where i got the inspiration for the cat's name
