When can an essay writer cite only the page number of a source in parentheses? A. only when the source is well known B. only when the source is named in the text itself C. only when there is only one source used D. This is never correct.
@wavypop @mistermew @Elsa213 @vera_ewing
its not c or d
A
cough cough *a*
yes
i'm not sure if that's correct, let me type a better explanation though
ok
say you're writing a paper, and you're citing a source in MLA format. you end your paragraph with the citation, say it's (Jones 1). as long as you do not introduce another source into that same paragraph, you can end your paragraphs with only the page number. it would look something like this: studies have shown that orange cats prefer orange food (Jones 27). it has also been proven in the same study that black cats prefer licorice (38). etc etc etc
it's between C or D. this question is worded poorly, to be honest.
look at the link i put
anyone can post anything to an answer website like that... i can post whatever i want too, but i've written enough papers in MLA to know how to cite them, so hopefully my answer is informed
i agree
