Which of the following is an example of intrinsic motivation? Johnny is curious about hurricanes, so he researches them online. Ana needs money, so she interviews for a new job. Joel wants an "A" on his exam, so he skips the movies to study. Monica needs to earn a scholarship, so she spends hours on the soccer field.

intrinsic motivation is a type of motivation that is something that YOU want to do. Something that is YOUR goal. Where as Extrinsic, which you are likely learning about, is motivation influenced by others. I would go with Joels, but I'm not sure.

Extrinsic motivation is when something outside of the person is motivating them to do something. Such as money, grades or the scholarship. Intrinsic motivation comes from within. It's Johnny's curiosity that is motivating him. It's an internal motive therefore it is an example of intrinsic motivation.
