Find the difference. (4x2 + 3x + 2) - (2x2 + 2x + 1) A. 2x2 + 5x + 3 B. 2x2 + x + 1 C. 2x2 - x - 1 how do i do this? i totally forgot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Quite easy. This is just like a normal subtraction problem, except with variables.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So we have \[(4x^2 + 3x + 2) - (2x^2 + 2x + 1)\] So this is essentially; \[(4x2 + 3x + 2) - 1 (2x2 + 2x + 1)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would distribute the negative one, so \[4x^2+3x+2− 2x^2- 2x-1\]

Then combine like terms. \[2x^2 + x +1\]
