General McClellan proved to be an incapable leader for the North for two reasons. What were they?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"McClellan has been criticized by some historians for failure to commit his reserves at the end of the day to destroy the Rebels. He was not quick to act which lead to many failures. They were outnumbered and that was very clear to all but he was confident in himself. Lincoln stood beside him helping him by pressing acts and eventually taking over." Found this from the same exact question from a different person. But this sounds pretty solid.
