OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I'll teach you here, @Eriblazer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Hi :)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\Huge\cal\color{tan}{Welcome~to~}\color{cornflowerblue}{Open}\color{#088A4B}{Study}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

anyhoo, to start out with LaTeX, you have to start with `\(` and end with `\)`. For example, \(hi\) is from `\(hi\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(Hi\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\Huge\color{lime}{Great~job!~\ddot\smile}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

To put spaces, you have to put `~` between your words. \(Like~this!\) which is from `\(Like~this!\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(This~is~cooooooool\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

There you go!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Now, do you want to learn fonts, colors, or sizes next? You have the basics already

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm. Colors!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Hahaha, just like me XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaha

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

There are some predefined colors you can use, or just html color codes. Pick a color and I'll show you what to do with it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ill just go with red.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\color{red}{red~is~cool}\) is from `\(\color{red}{red~is~cool\)`. To use colors, use the code \colors{}{}. the color will go in the first set of brackets, and what you want to say will go in the second set.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\color{red}{Like~this?}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Yes! Now, you can do that with any color, let me go find the list of predefined colors. I'll be right back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\begin{array}{|l|l|}\hline \sf\Large predefined\ colors&\sf\Large hexadecimal\\\hline \sf\Large\color{maroon}{maroon}&\sf\Large\color{#FF0000}{\#FF0000}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{brown}{brown}&\sf\Large\color{#FF1700}{\#FF1700}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{red}{red}&\sf\Large\color{#FF2E00}{\#FF2E00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{orangered}{orangered}&\sf\Large\color{#FF4500}{\#FF4500}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{salmon}{salmon}&\sf\Large\color{#FF5C00}{\#FF5C00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{orange}{orange}&\sf\Large\color{#FF7300}{\#FF7300}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{goldenrod}{goldenrod}&\sf\Large\color{#FF7300}{\#FF7300}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{gold}{gold}&\sf\Large\color{#FF8A00}{\#FF8A00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{yellow}{yellow}&\sf\Large\color{#FFA100}{\#FFA100}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{greenyellow}{greenyellow}&\sf\Large\color{#FFB800}{\#FFB800}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{olive}{olive}&\sf\Large\color{#FFCF00}{\#FFCF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{lime}{lime}&\sf\Large\color{#FFE600}{\#FFE600}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{springgreen}{springreen}&\sf\Large\color{#FFFD00}{\#FFFD00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{green}{green}&\sf\Large\color{#FFFF00}{\#FFFF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{forestgreen}{forestgreen}&\sf\Large\color{#E8FF00}{\#E8FF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{seagreen}{seagreen}&\sf\Large\color{#D1FF00}{\#D1FF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{teal}{teal}&\sf\Large\color{#BAFF00}{\#BAFF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{turquoise}{turquoise}&\sf\Large\color{#A3FF00}{\#A3FF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{cyan}{cyan}&\sf\Large\color{#8CFF00}{\#8CFF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{aquamarine}{aquamarine}&\sf\Large\color{#75FF00}{\#75FF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{cadetblue}{cadetblue}&\sf\Large\color{#5EFF00}{\#5EFF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{cornflowerblue}{cornflowerblue}&\sf\Large\color{#19FF00}{\#19FF00}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{royalblue}{royalblue}&\sf\Large\color{#00FF17}{\#00FF17}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{midnightblue}{midnightblue}&\sf\Large\color{#00FF5C}{\#00FF5C}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{navy}{navy}&\sf\Large\color{#00FF8A}{\#00FF8A}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{blue}{blue}&\sf\Large\color{#00FFB8}{\#00FFB8}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{purple}{purple}&\sf\Large\color{#00FFE6}{\#00FFE6}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{blueviolet}{blueviolet}&\sf\Large\color{#00E6FF}{\#00E6FF}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{darkorchid}{darkorchid}&\sf\Large\color{#00CFFF}{\#00CFFF}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{magenta}{magenta}&\sf\Large\color{#00A1FF}{\#00A1FF}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{orchid}{orchid}&\sf\Large\color{#008AFF}{\#008AFF}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{plum}{plum}&\sf\Large\color{#0073FF}{\#0073FF}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{grey}{grey}&\sf\Large\color{#005CFF}{\#005CFF}\\\hline \sf\Large\color{tan}{tan}&\sf\Large\color{#0045FF}{\#0045FF}\\\hline \end{array}\) Credit to @nobrainiachere

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

You still here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you chain multiple colors together?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

hang on, it's not working... ummm

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

do you mean like in my welcome?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, not on individual letters

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okie. the code for my welcome was `\(\Huge\cal\color{tan}{Welcome~to~}\color{cornflowerblue}{Open}\color{#088A4B}{Study}\)`... just ignore everything except for the colors.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Why is everyone stalking me? XD

Elsa213 (elsa213):

cx

Elsa213 (elsa213):

@mm3591 wanted to know how did you do the table.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I didn't make the table, but I can give the code for it... it's very big... but don't use that specific table without give credit to @nobrainiachere

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

giving*

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

You try, @eri

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@Eriblazer ***

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

oops

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\color{midnightblue}{This~is~fun~}\color{maroon}{to~play~around~with}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I know, and this is just the beginning! :D

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

What do you want to learn next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sizes!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay, well, sizes can range from \(\tiny tiny\) to \(\Huge Huge\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Sizes are different from colors, you don't need to use the brackets.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Here's a list of sizes: tiny, scriptsize, small, normalsize, large, Large, LARGE, huge, and Huge. Pick one, and I'll show you how to use it.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

they look like this: \(\tiny tiny\) \(\scriptsize scriptsize\) \(\small small\) \(\normalsize normalsize\) \(\large large\) \(\Large Large\) \(\LARGE LARGE\) \(\huge huge\) \(\Huge Huge\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I like scriptsize.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

wow, that's small, okay XD

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\scriptsize write~like~this.\) ---> `\(\scriptsize write~like~this.\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\scriptsize tiny~text~is~tiny. \)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

yes it is :)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

So, what do you want to do next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhhhh I dunno

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

there's still a lot to learn... like a LOT

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

do you want to know how to combine the two? or do you want to move on to fonts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fonts!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\rlap{\hspace-4.3pt\Huge\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}}\hspace+2.7pt{\hspace-4.3pt\Huge\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}}\) \(\bbox[ 5pt, #f5a9f2, border: dashed #f781d8 5pt]{\scr\Huge\color{#01dfa5}{BloomLocke367}}\) \(\rlap{\hspace-4.3pt\Huge\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}}\hspace+2.7pt{\hspace-4.3pt\Huge\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}\color{#2efec8}{\heartsuit}\color{pink}{\heartsuit}}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay, for fonts, they work like sizes.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

all except for the font \mathbb... with mathbb you have to include the brackets too.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I'll brb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

back, sorry about that.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

the fonts are: \(\sf sf\) \(\tt tt\) \(\bf bf\) \(\it it\) \(\rm rm\) \(\cal cal\) \(\scr scr\) \(\mathbb{MATHBB}\) \(\boldsymbol{boldsymbol}\) I forgot... boldsymbol is also like mathbb. Remember, to use any new codes, there has to be a \ in front of it. pick a font, and I'll show you how to use it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm. How about cal.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

one of my favorites :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\cal BloomLocke367\) ---> `\(\cal BloomLocke367\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\cal Eriblazer\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Very good!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This isn't to difficult to understand, once you get used to it

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I know... we've only just begun, though XD there's still a lot to learn... some things I'm not even the best at yet.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Why don't you try combining some of them and if you make a mistake, it will be okay. I'll correct them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\Large\cal\color{cyan}{Gotta~Go~Fast}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

A-MAZ-ING

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

There's still a ton to learn... hmmm... do you want to learn how to do symbols?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I was trying to do that earlier actually

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

haha, like this? \(\heartsuit\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking more like % or &

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

ohhhh, why?

OpenStudy (mm3591):

\(\HUGE\color{lime}{heartsuit^@#$%^&*!}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No reason..... :)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

HUGE isn't a size, mm

OpenStudy (mm3591):

oh well, you live and you learn

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\Huge\color{teal}{$%&}\)... okay... so far the only one that I can get to work is the dollar sign

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

hmm

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\pi\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

OH I KNOW THESE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha okay

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

orrr not... one moment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take you time c:

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\%\) OMG IT WORKS

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\%\)---> `\(\%\)`

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

hmmm

OpenStudy (mm3591):

\(\huge\color{Green}{{\rm }\rm ello!!!}\) \(\Huge \color{gold}{\star^{ \star^{\star:)}}}\Huge \color{green}{\star^{ \star^{\star:)}}}\) \(\Huge \color{blue}{\star^{ \star^{\star:)}}}\Huge \color{red}{\star^{ \star^{\star:)}}}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\&\) OMG... I guess you learn something new everyday! \(\&\)---> `\(\&\)`

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

you don't need the \ for the dollar sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yaaaay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now I can do a Thing

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

one moment.
