If f(x)=-10x-6, then f^-1(x)= Can someone please tell me the steps to complete this?

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

OK, so you'll want to do the following steps: Step 1) Replace f(x) with y to get this: y = -10x - 6 Step 2) Replace the y with an x, and the x with a y to get this: x = -10y - 6 Step 3) Solve this new equation for y (get y by itself) Step 4) You will have a new equation that looks like y = "some numbers and x's". This is the final answer for f^-1(x). That's the big picture. If you need help on each step let us know. :)
