OpenStudy (summersnow8):

can someone check my work? Somehow I didn't get the right answer: A sled weighing 3350 N is pulled over snow at a uniform speed by exerting a force of 1200 N. Find the coefficient of friction. F = m * a Ff = μ * Fn 1200 N = μ * (3350 N * 9.8 m/s^2) μ = 1200 N / (3350 N * 9.8 m/s^2 ) μ = 0.0365519 μ = 0.037

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the error is that it weights 3350 N, not 3350 Kg. That means that is is "already multiplied by g" . So your passages are correct, just get rid of g ;)
