Describe how to transform the graph of f into the graph of g. f as a function of x is equal to the square root of x and g as a function of x is equal to the negative square root of x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(x)=\sqrt{x}\] \[g(x)=-\sqrt{x}\]

I think it reflects the graph of f across the y-axis.

x-axis I meant.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it a reflection in x-axis?

I tried to plot it, and I noticed that the x-values are constant, while the y-values turned form positive to negative, so I thought that it was a reflection on the x-axis. :D

Thanks for the help guys!
