Well one positive might be that there is a decrease in population but one negative might be that people feel limited as to how many children they can have. Does that help?

The One-child policy basically states that each family can only have one child. On one end of things, the more positive end, this means less money is spent per child and it allows a family to focus more on that one child. On the other end, families feel oppressed since it means they can't choose how many children they want, they can only have one child and that's it.
