Match the phases in the writing strategy to the tasks. prewriting phase drafting phase revising phase editing phase looking for superficial errors reading and rewriting the essay creating an outline for the essay putting together all the information

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright what is the definition of prewriting?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@idontgetmath101

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first stage of the writing process @KAKES1967

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

draft-reading revis-superficl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok great Prewriting is the planning phase of the writing process. During this phase, writers may plan for writing by drawing pictures, making lists, brainstorming, using graphic organizers, or conferring with a peer as they anticipate writing on a topic for a particular audience.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Next is the drafting phase of the writing process entails the actual composing of the text. During this phase, writers use prewriting activities to generate a piece of writing in rough form. The goal is translate ideas into a written organization without being constrained by word choice, sentence structure, conventions, and presentation.

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

next is reading what you have down and seeing how it looks on paper and reading and remaking parts to be better tell me is i am wrong here @KAKES1967

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

if *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be revising then editing last c:

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

Last is looking over what you have made and looking for gramatical errors

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

lol i would have said edit then revise

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now lets figure out where the definitions go

OpenStudy (anonymous):

looking for superficial errors reading and rewriting the essay creating an outline for the essay putting together all the information

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So looking for errors would be last of course because thats editing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i agree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Next would be reading and rewriting which would fall under the revising phase. Based on their own critical review and feedback, writers may keep elements of the writing as well as make revisions as they add, delete, move, or change elements.

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

kakes i feel like the remaking the essay is editing becuase before you turn your essay in you go through and revise it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you! i got them all now @KAKES1967

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought so to but look > http://www.bcps.org/offices/lis/writing/elementary/writing-process.html Revising is when you kind of wait a few days then read your paper and you pick out the errors a write the paper over again with good content. Editing is when you fix the words not the whole sentence just the words and spelling.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Np @idontgetmath101 (:

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

hmm and thank you kake for helping me see that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So there to different things but people tend to mix them up because they sound the same. And of course np i had the same problem until i looked up papers and stuff. @shamallamadingdong

OpenStudy (shamallamadingdong):

lol thanks again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah its fine.
