Poets Hilaire Belloc and Heinrich Hoffmann use exaggeration and humor to convince readers to follow their advice. Do you think their pieces are more or less effective than an essay like Joseph Addison’s or a letter like Robert E. Lee’s? Why?

Hmm I would go with:
I would think their writings are equally effective because for one uses exaggeration and humor but while the other uses seriousness and facts. They both have the same conclusion...
