06.02)Gareth believes that if he flips a coin 820 times, it will land heads up exactly 410 times. What would you tell Gareth about his prediction?

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

i put I can tell Gareth that he believes that there is a 50% chance that the coin will land on heads. I can also tell him that he believes that there is an equal chance of the coin landing on tails or heads.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its might not be exactly 410 times but around 410. 410 is 50% of 820 so it is an estimate.

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

so was i right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your statement won't be good since all you did was rewrite the question in a different form

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

what should i put?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

something like what i put

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

what class r u taking?

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

Im doing FLVS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

algebra 2 honors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okie

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

what school i meant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

connections

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

oh

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

FLVS is pretty harsh - i dont think ill get credit 4 what u put

OpenStudy (anonymous):

connections just takes questions from other schools :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lemee write a better explanation

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its might not be exactly 410 times but around 410. 410 is 50% of 820 so it is an estimate. Gareth will have a low chance of tossing a coin and getting EXACTLY 410 heads.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not much else to put :/

OpenStudy (muscrat123):

thx.
