HELP PLEASE!! :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?=(20,000)(4.9%)(54). Formula is I = PRT I have to find the interest(I)

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

\[4.9 \% = 0.049\]

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Think of it this way, when you have a percent it's out of 100 right? So \[\frac{ 4.9 }{ 100 } = 0.049\]

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Is that all you needed help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hehe yea and that's interest right?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Well I don't know the question, but the interest would be all those 3 multiplied together.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's wrong :/

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

\[I = (20000)(0.049)(54)\]

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

I was explaining to you how you would use a percent in a calculation, that's not the answer itself.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Got 52920 but got it wrong :(

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Well you did not provide us with the full question, so I don't really know what you were expecting.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

What is 20000? What is 54? What is 4.9%?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's fine thx.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Ok np
