A long text can show someone what you think about them.  Most people who write long text messages are describing how they feel.  For example, they might write about you being mean to them, or they might write about how the feel about your relashionship, or even sometimes about how much they love you.  In a long text message, look for key words that describe how they really feel because sometimes it can be confusing if you just glance at it.  It might be something that they're passionate about and it would be best to respond saying that you understand.
