How is using money related to bartering?

Bartering was the exchange of goods or services between two or more parties. Say, I'd have a gallon of milk. You might have a dozen eggs. Bartering would be us trading so I end up with the eggs and you end up with the milk. Another example would be I give you a meal, if you cut the grass at my house. Money is much of the same concept. I give you money for the eggs, and I would pay you to cut the grass. The only difference is that you're paying someone for a good or service with money, like cash or coins, instead of trading for another good. Hope this helps!
