***WILL MEDAL*** What is the slope of the line? https://gordon.owschools.com/media/o_anageo_ccss_2014/8/t20.gif A. 1/3 B. -3 C. 3

OpenStudy (lynfran):

well looking at it i know its a positive slope...

OpenStudy (falling_in_katt):

So...3?

OpenStudy (falling_in_katt):

...? @LynFran

OpenStudy (chillout):

The slope of a line is given by \(\frac{ Delta y }{ Delta x }\) but of course we have to use known points. Looking the graph closely, we have two easy-of-use points, (0,-2) and (1,1). By doing \(\frac{ Delta y }{ Delta x }\) we have \(\frac{ 1 -(-2) }{ 1 }\) which is 3! Answer is C.
