Andria wrote the following statements: Statement 1: If parallel lines have a transversal, then corresponding angles are congruent. Statement 2: A line has an infinite number of points extending in opposite directions. Which geometry term does each statement represent? Statement 1: definition; Statement 2: theorem Statement 1: postulate; Statement 2: definition Statement 1: postulate; Statement 2: theorem Statement 1: theorem; Statement 2: postulate

@pooja195

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is easy :/ but i gotta work u through to the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Statement 1 is postulate because you have to prove that corresponding angles are congruent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u find statement 2 by urself?

pooja195 (pooja195):

Ok im not really sure but if it is an if then statement then it has to be a theorm beause its not yet proven Postulate:suggest or assume the existence, fact, or truth of (something) as a basis for reasoning, discussion, or belief.~google i suggest going over definitions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought postulate means you don't have to prove it and it is a given fact @Icedragon50

pooja195 (pooja195):

^thats what i was thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you think it would be D @pooja195 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats not how i was taught :/ but ok same thing

pooja195 (pooja195):

ye im thinking D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tbh i think its b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will tell you guys which one is right but I'm going with D.

pooja195 (pooja195):

Statement 2 is not the definontion of a line ._.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

._.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was not D :(

pooja195 (pooja195):

wat was it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I BET IT WAS B ME WUS CORRECT T^T

pooja195 (pooja195):

-_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't say the correct answer but I will reset it and try again.

pooja195 (pooja195):

Is it a test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No a practice sheet which is why you can reset it. Tests you cannot reset.

pooja195 (pooja195):

wats the correct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

._. so wus it B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will tell you in a second @pooja195 and @Icedragon50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okie

pooja195 (pooja195):

Im starting to think its A >..>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IT B AND HE NO TELL US ANSWER

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Guys the correct answer is B! @Icedragon50 was right.

pooja195 (pooja195):

WOW -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ME GO EAT GUMMY BEARS IN CELEBRATION

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ikr I was taught postulate you did not need proof. Lol @Icedragon50

pooja195 (pooja195):

Its k :3 still a beginner and sorry :( didnt help much ;P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is not your fault @pooja195 You at least tried which means just as much. I appreciate that.
