Challenge! Ready? What is the value of x, given that Line PQ is parallel to Line BC ? http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/54edfb85e4b055f23ccc9b9e-letslearn2000-1424882573300-15.png
x=12. Am I right?
you have to show your work; otherwise you could have cheated ;)
Geometry is all about proofs my friend
Hey professor, my favorite guy on here :)
\(\dfrac{8}{x} = \dfrac{12}{18} \) \(x = \dfrac{8 \times 18}{12} \) \(x = 12\)
Are you serious? Was this a challenge even?
It was and the professor is correct.
He was correct. But you know what else? I was correct, too, even before he came on.
You didn't show your work.
This challenge is a thinly disguised way of getting people to your homework. Just call every problem a challenge, and someone will take it on. After a while, the entire homework assignment has been done.
We must show work because the homework assignment requires it.
Lol 909 or I am a math nerd
Math is fun
So, why even do it then? What is your reasoning behind that? If they aren't willing to even ask it as a question, why do you still give them an answer? @mathstudent55
I am hoping she at least learns something. I don't just give a final answer. I solve the entire problem step by step. She has the option of following the solution and learning something from it.
