FEEL LIKE GIVING OUT MEDALS!! Josh leaves independence for Evansville at 70mph. Janice leaves Evansville for independence at 65mph. If independence and Evansville are 405 miles apart, how long will it take Josh and Janice to pass each other?
please give me medal dear, haven;t received one yet.
Ahehehehe I give medals if people help me out :)
there is a formula for this dear
time,distance, speed formula
since they are moving in opposite directions toward one another mathmatically you can add the two speeds together and see how long it takes at that speed to travel the entire distance. 70+65 = 135 miles / hour total distance is 405 miles speed = distance / time rearrange to solve for time time = distance / speed time = 405 miles / 135 miles/hour (miles cancel leaving you with the unit of hours) time = 3 hours
I'm bad at it I only know the one where two people are going at the same time not different times :(
you copied that from yahoo
xD
THANK YOU!!! :))
doesn't matter if it's copied. at least it's right.
true but come on your supposed to help them learn not to cheat
You have a morally good point but if it helped her, and it did, then it doesn't matter
