For an Example let's say you chose one of Edgar Allen Poe's poems and Conan Doyle Sherlock .You would say the reason I would pick these two pieces from the same time period is because not only do both pieces take place in the same era and are from the same era but if I were to compare and contrast is , Edgar Allen has a horror type element yet Sherlock has mystery element although in comparison they both have eery element for suspense
