For this problem, you are observing the nature of the solutions for each absolute value expression. For the first expression, you have two solutions for x that give 5 since any value substituted for |2x - 4| always yields positive value. For the second expression, you don't have the solutions since |3x - 4| is never positive. Because of the wording for each statement, I am not sure which is the right answer, but I would say that "Equation #1 has more solutions than equation #2"
