I believe Pizarro used all of the above. He first used deceit by setting up an ambush for the emperor of Cajamarca. He then tried to use diplomacy by teaching them about Spain and Christianity, the emperor refused it, thats when he sprung his ambush. Then he used force by holding Atahualpa, the emperor, ransom, and taking over the city. Then he charged the emperor for trying to overthrow the spanish from power and for murdering his brother. He then killed the emperor.
