It usually depends what you are using it for but if you just want a strait answer I'd recommend The MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition.

Performance is not always the motherboard.  For example, the cleaner the power regulation, the better the perfromance.  It comes down to a total package that way.  Good RAM that has error correction, a PSU that cleans he power, and a board that has good noise isolation.
