two planes leave an airport at the same time. one MEDAL!!! Two planes leave an airport at the same time. One flies north at 505mph, the other flies south at 565mph. how far apart will the two planes be in 3 hours??

" Suppose the airport is at a point called O. |(Also suppose the this is not anywhere near the North or South Poles.) After 3 hours: The first plane is 505 mph x 3 hours = 1515 miles North of O. The second plane is 565 mph x 3 hours = 1695 miles South of O. Therefore, the total distance between them is 1515 miles + 1685 miles = 3210 miles Which means they are 3200 miles apart after 3 hours. "
