(-10, -2) and (7, 8) into 2:3? first, find the distance along the x direction from -10 to 7 the ratio 2:3 means divide that distance by 2+3= 5 (part parts), and move 2/5 of that distance from -10 to get to the "new x" position now do the same thing along the y-direction find the distance from -2 to +8 then move 2/5 of that distance , start at -2 to get to the "new y"
