HELPPPP PLS Determine the type of boundary line and shading for the graph of the inequality y less than or greater to 2x + 4 Choose one answer. a. Dashed boundary line with shading on the side that includes the origin. b. Solid boundary line with shading on the side that does not include the origin. c. Dashed boundary line with shading on the side that does not include the origin. d. Solid boundary line with shading on the side that includes the origin.
type the equation......
y > 2x + 4
u mean.... right?? \[y \ge2x+4\]
yes
Okay so the line will be straight because y is less than or equal to not less that 2x + 4. So pick a point and try it out. I will pick (0,0).and plug it in. So I will get 0=2(0)+4. Y is less than or equal to 2x+4. You will then shade under the line. A trick is to see if y is less than or greater than. If it is less than than usually the shading will be under the line and if it is greater than the shading will usually be on top of the line. The only thing is if you have to divide by a negative number than it will usually be the opposite.
