Do you normally find the critical z-value by looking it up in a table?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Critical z values can be obtained by looking at an inverse normal probability table or by using technology. Which method are you expected to use?

We would also need to know if it is a right-tailed test, left-tailed test, or two-tailed test.

using technology

OpenStudy (kropot72):

There is an inverse normal probability calculator here: http://mlathrop.blogspot.co.nz/2014/03/widget-inverse-normal-probability.html Just enter the value of alpha in the top box and leave the default values for the mean (0) and standard deviation (1) as they are.

thank you

You're welcome :)
