The graph below plots a function f(x): If x represents time, the average rate of change of the function f(x) in the first three seconds is ___.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I can't see the graph, but fund the slope between t = 0 and t = 0 so \[slope = \frac{f(3) - f(0)}{3 - 0}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's the graph

@campbell_st @misssunshinexxoxo

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok so what is the value of the graph when t = 0.... its the vertical intercept...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

when t = 3 the point is (3, 0) find the point when t = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(0,-3) ? @campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

no.... where does the graph start... can you give that as a point...(0, ?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To be honest I'm not so sure how to do any of this

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

look on the vertical axis... where does the graph start...

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

look at the graph when x = 0, what is the value of the function?
