Because GORE lost his home State of TN, a state that his family money should have given to him in wrapping papers. When Gore lost TN, the DNC call in some chips to turn the tide in FL with endless recount. Gore was told he would win but being a wealthy wimp, he threw a tantrum. He still lost.
i tried that answer i got it from answers.com and the teacher said it was wrong
ummmm weird
Hi! The 2000 election was significant because Gore has lost the Electoral College vote but won the popular vote. The voting in Florida was suspected of voting fraud and remember Bush's brother was the governor. The Supreme Court turned down Gore's case. And it was a close election to be honest. Some democrats blamed the Green Party, except most of the Green Party members actually voted for Gore. They actually said if not for the Green Party, they could not vote in a two party system of liars and cheaters who play people and how IRV neutralizes the spoiler effect. :) Hope that helped.
thank you!!
