A rectangular park is125 meters long and 90 meters wide. Give the length and width of another rectangular park that has the same perimeter but a smaller area.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

First find the area of the park with the given length and width. Then, try adding 10 m to the length and subtracting 10 m from the width and find the new area. If the new area is larger instead of smaller, then do it the other way around. Subtract 10 m from the length and add 10 m to the width.
