A bag contains 25 marbles of the same size that are yellow, green, and purple. The probability of picking a yellow marble is 20%. The probability of picking a green marble is 50%. Determine the probability of picking a purple marble from the bag and then classify the probability of picking a purple marble as likely or not likely to occur. And probability of green is 50% and the probability of a yellow is 25% so it would be 20% ?

OpenStudy (janu16):

30

OpenStudy (welshfella):

P(purple) = 100 - P(yellow) - P(green)

okay thanks

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yw

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- is the probability of drawing a yellow 20 or 25%?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

- 25% makes more sense if all the marbles are the same size
