Could somebody please explain to me how the respiratory and the circulatory systems work together.
Hi! Welcome to Openstudy! The body's oxygen transport system takes oxygen to the working muscles, through the circulatory and respiratory systems working together. The main workers are the heart, blood and lungs. The whole oxygen transport system works in a cycle. https://prezi.com/cqiqr3uplcvp/the-circulatory-and-respiratory-system-how-they-work-together/
ok thanks!
No problem. :)
could you possibly help me out with a few more questions? @kingalex123
Sure :)
ok the next problem I need help with is: describe the structures and functions of the respiratory system.
Ok hold on.
Hope this helps. There are 3 major parts of the respiratory system: the airway, the lungs, and the muscles of respiration. The airway, which includes the nose, mouth, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles, carries air between the lungs and the body's exterior. The lungs act as the functional units of the respiratory system by passing oxygen into the body and carbon dioxide out of the body. Finally, the muscles of respiration, including the diaphragm and intercostal muscles, work together to act as a pump, pushing air into and out of the lungs during breathing.
yes that helps a lot! thanks! I have a few I need help with
