to add/subtract matrices, you literally add/subtract the individual elements. have you done that? so \[\left[\begin{matrix}2 & 3 \\ 7 & 11\end{matrix}\right] - \left[\begin{matrix}0 & 1 \\ 7 & 12\end{matrix}\right] = \left[\begin{matrix}2 & 2 \\ 0 & -1\end{matrix}\right]\] your matrices are the same size (same no rows and columns) so you can replicate this approach
