What's the absolute value of 5.24? I keep forgetting how to solve an absolute value equation, so I need help with this. :T

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Absolute value simply means how far away a number is from 0. So any negative number becomes positive and all positive numbers stay the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer to this one would be...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok wait, I got stuck trying to figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have the equation for me to look at?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I took long. Mom needed me. But I think I found out the answer. Would it be 5.24?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like I said, positive numbers stay the same and negative numbers just become positive. Very simple

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okie, Thanx!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup
