picture pls

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's the pic idk how Ito do it another way I'm on a iPad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

32.1 units 35. 8 units 37.6 units 39.2 units

OpenStudy (danjs):

the pink thing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this confuses me wits the picture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u screenshot it?

OpenStudy (danjs):

are you familiar with calculating the distance between 2 points on a plane

OpenStudy (danjs):

i think it is that 300px wide pink pic at the top. haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea it's a link to the pic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

screenshot pls :c

OpenStudy (danjs):

They gave you the points for all the points... you have to add up the distances .. AB + BC + CD + DE

OpenStudy (danjs):

A(2, 0) B(4, 5) C(4, 10) D(8 , 7) E(4 , 5) Do you know the distance formula for two points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No

OpenStudy (danjs):

ill do AB , \[AB = \sqrt{(B _{x}-A _{x})^2 + (B _{y} - A _{y})^2}\]

OpenStudy (danjs):

it is just the pythagoren theorem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay but I still don't know the answer

OpenStudy (danjs):

\[AB = \sqrt{(4 - 2)^2 + (5 - 0)^2} = \sqrt{2^2 + 5^2} = \sqrt{29} \]

OpenStudy (danjs):

that is one side AB length... need to calculate all of them that way... AB + BC + CD + DE

OpenStudy (danjs):

oh and EA. forgot Perimeter = AB + BC + CD + DE + EA

OpenStudy (danjs):

you good , or no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry I'm so confused they gave me choices

OpenStudy (danjs):

yes, you have to do work to figure it out, understand the distance formula above, and calculate all 5 sides lengths to add to the perimeter of the shape..

OpenStudy (danjs):

give er a go, ill check if you want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok
