Solve the inequality 2(4 + 2x) ≥ 5x + 5?

hero (hero):

First distribute the 2 across 4 + 2x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok as for the question first you have to multiply 2(4+2x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is 8+4x

hero (hero):

Which means you now have 8 + 4x ≥ 5x + 5

hero (hero):

Next, Subtract 4x from both sides.

hero (hero):

You have to write the answer as a mathematical statement. Saying "the answer is 3" isn't exactly the proper way to state your result.
