P(0,0) V(-p,q) W(-p-r,q) Z(?,?) the point W is shifted r units to the right from V, so I can tell that V & W, and P & Z both lay on same horizontal line (i.e. same y-coordinate). This way, I know that P and Z also lay on the same horizontal line (i.e. same y-coordinate) So, Z should therefore lay on the x-axis, and should be shifted r units to the left or r units to the right from P in order for you shapeto be a parallelogram.
