The following graph describes function 1, and the equation below it describes function 2:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Function 2 f(x) = −x2 + 2x − 15 Function ____ has the larger maximum. (Put 1 or 2 in the blank space)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It seems that Function #1 has a larger maximum. Am I wrong? @ash2326 @phi @UsukiDoll @DarkMoonZ @LegendarySadist

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well find y's maximum and see what the x is then plug that in the for x in the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I graphed Function #2 and it's parabola reached a lower number, which is why I believe that Function #1 has a higher maximum.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u look at the equation -x*2 and 2x cancel each other out for example -8+8=0 so it is always -15 for the y coordinate in the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you were right

Don't forget to medal and fan if you already haven't. Plus send me a message if you need more help.
