Are natural numbers closed to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

OpenStudy (arindameducationusc):

All real numbers are closed to +,-,x,/ I guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

natural and real numbers are not the same thing

OpenStudy (arindameducationusc):

ofcourse they are different.... Natural are for 1,2,3,4.... Real numbers consist of -ve numbers, +ve numbers, 0, all fractions....

OpenStudy (arindameducationusc):

So real numbers can perform +,-,x,/... Example two fractions can be multiplied

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I'm asking for natural numbers, not real ones

OpenStudy (arindameducationusc):

see if real numbers follow closure. Then ofcourse, natural numbers follow closure property..... as natural numbers are inside real numbers

thank you

OpenStudy (arindameducationusc):

My pleasure
