If you put salt into a wound, does it tend to scar? I read that it slows the healing process, but I'm not sure that its completely true. (I read on google and yahoo answers.)

From my experience at a Medical Advanced school (Darnell-Cookman SoMA) I would compare this statement to the salt water method used on wounds. So think what could happen if you remove the water.

it's a good question, but I find it funny that people would swish salt water for kanker sores if it did slow it down. so I don't think it does slow it down really, but rather helps
