The volume of a cone is 183.26 cubic feet and its radius is 5 feet. What is the cone's height? Round to the nearest foot. Use 3.14 for \pi .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

height=(3)*v/3.14*r^2 so (3)*183.26/3.14*5*5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve that @Aliypop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4,385.350318

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no do 3.14*5*5 first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

78.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep so now do 183.26/78.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Aliypop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.33452293

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then times that by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and round to the nearest whole foot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you round to the nearest foot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you look at the tenths place (to the right of the decimal if lower than 5 then keep the ones place (to the left of decimal) and have nothing to the right of the decimal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.33452293 so would it be 2.3345 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no first multiply by 3 to get 7.003 which is 7 when rounded

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u understand @Aliypop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a little

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't forget to medal and fan if you already haven't. Plus send me a message if you need more help.
