yeah correct... The Russian tsar who disguised himself as a carpenter in order to travel around Europe and see for himself how western technology worked was Peter the Great. Peter the Great incorporated many progressive and liberal reforms based on what he had seen in his travels in western Europe. This included modernization of certain aspects of Russia and the reformation of political systems. He based many of his new changes on the Enlightenment Period.
